My boss at the group home is a good guy and got me a rare regular 40 hr shift. Normal shift is 32 hrs. for non management staff. Also he offered me OT whenever it was available. Really helped make up the difference monetarily after I left detention in February.
He asked me to stay on till the end of May, to give him time to find my replacement. It was the least that I could do since he's been so good to me.

yeah I just had some delays and bad winters. Can't complain. Transpac accelerated me back on track and some luck in my airline career timeline.

GK said in an email tonight we have 400 airplanes parked and by June 1st they'll announce ways to voluntarily reduce the headcount. 400 airplanes is about 5600 pilots. I'll be shocked if he gets 600 to leave.

A bit of both I believe. Right now for pilots there is emergency time off, ETO in SWA speak. It pays half monthly guarantee and there is like 800ish on it for May, they have ran bids for it out until August and will be offering it up for bid again this month for July and August. They are talking about an extended ETO and early retirement being announced June 1st.
We only have roughly 1000 or so guys over 60 so I don’t think it will make much of a dent.
Just looked again and realized I was off on how many over age 60 we have.
