Funny Riddle Video

Do all the airplanes at Riddle have "ER" at the end of their N numbers?

Because that would be uncomfortably gay.

Oh, and I think the video is hilarious.

Seriously, if you guys that went to Riddle don't think this is funny, then you're probably the typical Riddle kid that I can't stand. I was once told that Riddle pilots are better than regular pilots because they had to pass harder in house check rides than everybody else, and the training was harder. I think this was after they told me they'd never shot an actual NDB approach.

Most of the 172's do, as do most of the other planes. A few of them don't, as far as I know. Last I'd heard, there was a Seminole running around with a ND tailnumber on it, which made me laugh every time I hear it.

Well, there are two different ideas on the table here. A) Do Riddle Aces deserve a huge ration of poop in a good natured way? Yes. B) Is this particular send-up of Riddle hysterically funny? IMHO, No. I chuckled, but there were no guffaws.

And God forgive me if this seems like a defense of Riddle, because nothing could be further from my heart. But. If the sky were red, good were evil, and I had gone to Riddle, I'd probably get sort of tired of having it dumped on all the time based on the persona and actions of a significant number, but probably still a minority of the students.

Mind you, that's not going to prevent me from gleefully poking the echo romeos, but a little perspective is key. A carefully crafted Riddle-Zinger is far more valuable than just a constant brown rain of "you suck"s.

You know you're just jealous of not having an ER suffix on your N-number, and can't be a member of this:

You could've had a shot at being the "message drop" category champ.....

:D

Sigh... Its unfortunate but I now must become a Riddlebasher. Too many take themselves too seriously. What a shame. I even did the summer camp a while back. :(

Bizzarely, the first flight school I worked for had a brand new (then) 172R with an ER tail number. At the time I assumed that the fact that I was beaten up, shoved in a locker, and had my plane TP'd at every ramp I visited was mere jealousy of the fancy avionics stack. Now I know better...

jtrain...to be fair you (we) had some of those types going through our program at WMU. I know you had to sit through AVS120 with Rantz at soome point, so you've seen them.

Same kids different location.
Kalamazoo probably had a bit more eye candy to offer though.

There was plenty of eye candy near Daytona. You just had to drive 20 miles to Deland (Stetson U) to find it. A lot of "Riddle Dudes" didn't realize that, leaving more eye candy for those of us that actually gave a damn about a social life.

I can bag on Riddle dbags all day, ask Travis I did yesterday. I just thought the video wasn't that funny. And yes john most of the planes had er tail numbers but I worked plenty of NDB holds and approaches.

Reason number 234209830498 I graduated with a degree in philosophy, and not aviation.
