I'd laugh but my school gave me a 7kt solo limit when I was trying to get my XCs done, it took me 4 months. They actually flagged me down on my way to the run up once because I used the old ATIS even though I knew it was at least a 11 or 12kt x-wind now and tried to go before they said anything. Then when I landed in a 10kt x-wind once comming back from MOD the owner gave me a lecture about how the insurance companys would be pissed if they knew I was "writing my own rules". I should have "diverted" to PAO(about 10nm south) and called them for a ride back up to SQL. I feel your pain, Riddle kids.
