For comfort in the cabin, or lack of noise I reckon the "Whisper Jet" the Bae146, which was effectively the AvroRJ.
But smoothest ride goes to Q400 - not an RJ though, being as its a prop. British European were swithcing their aging Bae146 series for Q400s.
