Frontier Airlines-August 2025

I have to imagine there's a lot of interest in Frontier from Spirit dispatchers who see the writing on the wall.
Actually that is the one airline a lot of NK probably should not apply to as a new hire quite yet. There are still indications of a possible takeover out of the bankruptcy which would result in a merged seniority list of some sort. However, I am sure a lot of the NK folks are applying to all of the legacies that opened up recently.

Just got the online face to face and test, what type of questions are usually on the test?
Hopefully I'm not too late! When I was hired, you started with an online test. Fairly simple stuff, read METAR, TAF, when do you need an alternate, fuel requirements, nothing crazy.

It was then followed by a pretty standard HR type interview. Why do you want to work at Frontier, name a time you went above and beyond your job expectations, that kind of stuff.

Best of luck to all you are moving on!

For those that work here or have worked there how is the overtime and shift trades?
Overtime comes and goes, some times there's a lot, sometimes there isn't much. If all goes according to plan, so no one goes to Delta, United, American, retires, dequals or something silly like that; on paper there should be zero overtime. However, sometimes we aren't fully staffed, eventually we will be changing dispatch programs, other trainings, and then vacation coverage. There are a lot of things that change how much OT could be available. I've seen months were even the highest people in seniority get junior assigned an overnight shift, but I've seen it were junior assignments are essentially non-existent.

If you are really hurting for OT, you can also pick up sick calls when they come up.

There are definitely people willing to do shift trades or pick up dropped shifts. I wouldn't go into it expecting everyone to be open to trades; it's a courtesy. But you'll be able to figure out pretty fast who the people willing to pick up hours are.

There a handful of people living at the apartment complex across the pound on the west side of the building.

Software, currently we have dispatch monitor and fusion. Eventually we are going to go to flight explorer and fpm.

Thank you so much! Any apartment names you're willing to toss out there specifically? Trying to just take everything in and then cut it down from there. Currently looking at the Ranch at 1500/mo, but open to anything else out there! Glad to hear y'all have Fusion, Dispatch Monitor is foreign though

I'm so glad we have fusion, but unfortunately it's supposed to go away when we go to fpm. Dispatch monitor is pretty easy to use, it won't take very long to learn it. What may take awhile to learn is our charts, we use lido for our charts. It seems like you either love lido or hate it, but most people hate lido.

That seems like a downgrade.

Get that ATC reroutes page opened on another tab. Flight Explorer does not give the route string changed alerts Fusion does. Still miss that having to manually verify every single reroute. Especially when EWR is in meltdown mode.
