We don't have a lot of Spocks around here.No one appreciates my “Spock, you have the conn” or the Las Vegas casino style light clap palms down-palms up-palms down “Good luck everyone!” After the crew change brief.

It's turned into a pretty great friendship actually, not mad at all.Says the only guy in the world who got a lunch date by being described as “Vulcan-like”. LOL
I gotta go back to having RDU layovers. That Paris-Raleigh-Paris schlep was a fine way to spend that summer, though!Oh I know, it was just funny.

Sounds like you need to bid SEA73NB, cause that’s fairly easy to hold. Maybe there will be a seat opening up soonI gotta go back to having RDU layovers. That Paris-Raleigh-Paris schlep was a fine way to spend that summer, though!

I tried the left seat of the thing on, some time back when one of the mock awards had me holding captain on it, with the HUD and everything out of curiosity, and while it was 'fine' I can think of a few other airplanes I'd rather fly first just for pure comfort, though. "This is...fine, I guess" is not "I actually want to fly the thing." I'd happily be the plug in Seattle 737 captain, but that's gonna be a bit of a ways off and maybe longer than I want to wait to stop commuting.Nah, you are my height and I have no issues in the 737. Not sure what a 73B is though.

The 220 does a lot of cool flying in our system (I was poking around the bid pack, one of my mentees just started in Seattle 220B and it all looked quite interesting). I'd be in the top third of that category in the right seat, too, which is something that's only really ever happened to me once or twice in a career. And not commuting, which sounds positively glamorous even if I have to get out of God's airplane to do it. Plus it's comfortable.
Too tall.
