A security screener told authorities she smelled alcohol on the pilots, and later said in court that the aroma was so strong she feared they would light up "like a dragon" if anyone lit a match."

Better yet, lets give that Northwest captain another shot at his career. I mean by his being allowed to retake all his tests and re-earn his certificates, he only set legal precedence for other stupid pilots to use in the future. Lets hope those AWA pilots find out about this guy. I don't want their careers to be put in jeopardy!

I think most airlines have a program for pilots with drug/drinking problems to help them get help - very good idea IMHO.

What about the drunk pax they let through that normally cause a ruckus so bad they wind up getting carted off by the local police? I think the point wasn't that the TSA person wasn't doing their job, I think the point was they may have exageratted a bit and come off as a TEENY bit melodramatic.
