Foreclosure ....????? ......

I know Southernjets checked mine. At the time, it certainly wasn't perfect.

I'll bet they're not looking for your FICO store, probably just extreme stuff like bankruptcy, liens and garnishments I presume.

But I figure it's like this. Some companies give you medicals even though you've already passed the standard FAA aeromedical exam, look at your college records, have you sit with a psych and conduct a background check. A credit report in that case is just another piece to the puzzle of developing a HR-digestible portrait of who they're hiring.

You're correlating an individual vs. a group.

From the Insurance Information Institute:

What would you prefer? Be rewarded for being responsible, or pay the same as the guy who is more likely to file a claim?

Lets not forget, we are talking about insurance companies here. The second they figure out how to jack the auto insurance rates up on people based on the color of they're house, they will.

I see what you are saying about it being easier for them to base rates as a group, but it does not make it right.

The only retort I have for that is that insurance is a very competitive business. Every time I renew my insurance and it goes up, I call around to see what competitors current rates are.
