Flying for adventure...

I don't think I'll ever top landing in 49 states, in four days, in a twin piston.
Puts 'Merica in perspective.

Story behind this? Sounds awesome.

Not really, guy needed a commercial pilot to come with him to verify that he accomplished a few time-speed records for the NAA. I was fortunate enough be that dude.

Flying aerobatics in air shows would be sweet!

I would also like to fly in central/south America in some small strips doing resupply. The natural beauty down there is stunning. Add some island hoping and sandy beautiful beaches in there too!

Not quite an adventure but if money were no factor I would love to do some tropical island hopping in a bright yellow ME seaplane. That or fly the crap out of a Beech Starship (aka the sexiest business plane ever).

Edit: Beech Starship would either be in jet black or metallic grey. I do want to stand out when flying my aviation appliance :).

Not a ME, but this was our Seaplane in Vanuatu

I want to fly a Cessna 180 from Barrow Alaska to Ushuaia Argentina down the west coast of both continents.

In a C180 it will be pretty much impossible due to the lack of AVGAS or even MOGAS and the low range of the C180....

This guy made a book about the trip he did in 1997:

It was barely possible in a Piper Saratoga type of plane...

Always wanted to do this http://www.touraviationchile.com

Wanna fly into the Amazon Rainforest? My company can let you fly one of our planes into cool bush strips, the video was made by one of our clients....yes he landed long..

To say I'm jealous of you is a huge understatement. SE or ME I'll take either as long as there is a tropical island involved.

Oh in addition to the seaplane and Beech Starship. I love to bum about South America, Australia or New Zealand in a DC-3.

Afghanistan...

Just kidding. Seriously, down and back up through Latin America. Also, I would also like to circumnavigate the world. I've got a buddy with a C206 on floats, and he ferried the thing himself across the Atlantic, flown up to the arctic circle, and he flies to all over Europe and finds new lakes where he can make water landings. Same guy also sailed his own boat across the Pacific from California to Australia.

Didn't tell me you guys had seaplanes!
That`s how the company started, as a seaplane operation, they were based out of an island resort, they added a C206 on land later and as money was better on that side of things they left the Maule sitting on the ramp since, it`s been up for sale for a while now, the new seaplane operator flies a Lake..

You've got good buddy. Does he do a sort of write-ups on his endeavors?
