Flying for adventure...

If money wasn't a factor in this... Where would you say the last frontiers of aviation are? Where would you fly and see yourself having the most fun/adventure? Alaska? Africa? Indonesia? What say you?

On one of the Other Forums (boo! hiss!) there's a guy who has done a fair amount of flying in Papua New Guinea. From what I can tell, that probably takes the cake, although the flying is probably the safest part of your day.

Running drugs and guns and having a good understanding of proper W&B (drugs, guns, more drugs) Preferably a Caravan or something with a large door to allow for a quick escape. Another exciting adventure would be flying the first airborne meth lab. Preferably a Shorts or something that resembles a Walmart bathroom or trailer home.

Real Alaska bush flying....super cubs with big tires in the middle of nowhere.

Mission/humanitarian flying overseas.

The real frontier of Aviation? West Alaska, probably.

If money was no option for me, I'd have a PA14 and the money to go around the world checking out backwoods places. Mongolia, Namibia, Patagonia, remote places in Canada, I'd love to see Antarctica.

Up here, the places I wish I could go up here? The Brooks Range, the Revelation Mountains, McCarthy area, and a few other nice places I've seen, but never landed at.

Supplemental non-sked is a safer, legal way of seeing some really odd places. I wouldn't quite put it up there with bush flying and running drugs/guns, but you end up with a good number of stories.

Adventure Trips, this is what I'd like to do when I have the time and money (though not necessarily in this order)

Circumnavigation - I'd like to fly an airplane around the world.
North Pole - I'd like to take a cub on skis to the north pole.
Archaeological Survey of Eastern Chukotka
Wildlife Survey in Alaska / Africa
Land off airport near a certain unclimbed mountain in the Brooks range and walk up the thing.
Float Plane Survey of the Amazon basin
Greenland Ski Flying
Andes Ski Flying

Dropping special ops guys off in hot zones in an MH-6 LittleBird has gotta be a serious kick in the pants...

Final frontier of aviation? Everybody's missing the obvious

No doubt true, but for some reason I think that'd be about as interesting/exciting as shooting an ILS... just flying numbers and straight lines. Not that I have any knowledge of what's involved, just how I imagine an operation like that.
