I work the overwhelming majority of Asia and Pacific flights into and out of LAX, the decline in traffic over the last few weeks has been really really noticeable. We’re still getting some flights obviously, but the times of day that used to have huge pushes of Asian inbound/outbound traffic are way less busy overall.

I don’t think we’ll lose CX. They have very strong backing from HK giant Swire and some mainland Chinese groups.
HK Airlines is a different matter... But they’ve been circling the drain for awhile.

Maybe, but they may end up like Hainan Airlines. The Chinese government may disolve the airline into other carriers to try to keep the jobs afloat. Hong Kong Airlines, who is also part of the Hainan group. CX will be "fine", as far as survival in some form goes.

I'm pretty sure the evolutionary purpose of airlines is not to carry Pax, but only to provide Wall Street with advance notice of economic conditions and market movement.
