Who does your father fly for now? Why did he leave Emirates?
So what was the living like? Cars, food, general living? Expensive or resonable?
Thanks again fro your help mate!

Well, he retired from Emirates in 2000. He then came out of retirement last year and went back and flew A300-600's for Ariana Afghan Airlines. I guess he went back because he missed it so much. He was 62 when he went back last year. Age restriction for them over there is 65. When he got there, they were doing things that were unsafe, and illegal. He gave his resignation and came back two months ago.
As far as living in Dubai, it was like a dream. Honestly, my brother, sister, mom, dad and I always think back of the fond memories we had of the place. I mean, we would literally have to be millionaires to live like that here in Orange County, CA. The community had everything from its own restuarant, coffee shop, swimming pool, b-ball courts, raquet ball courts, tennis, its own private beach with crystal clear blue water and near white sand, the homes were beautiful. Guarded 24 horus a day, the airline would send brand new Volvo car's to pick up the crew from their own houses. You didn't have to drive to the airport. Interest free loans were provided for various reasons. Free private school for the kids. the list goes on and on and on. The travel was the best. Always first class, and let me tell you, this wasn't United Airlines first class ( no offense). Emirates is like no other! By far thee best service and comfort airline out there. Always treated employees with class A respect.
I'm starting to get teary eyed thinking about it again!
just kidding. My dad always teases me about going back and flying for them so that we could all go back and live in Dubai. But I dont' know if that would ever happen.
