Want to Buy Flight Simulator X

Anyone have a copy they can lend me for a few months? Going through American Flyers CFI course in a month and have access to their training modules, but requires it...Not sure if it's all that helpful, but can't hurt I guess, as far as talking through the maneuvers while you're flying 'em. I'd be happy pay shipping here and back.

Might have a spare key for Prepar3d you can use for awhile. Its just the Lockheed Commercial version of FSX.

You can pick up a copy of X for pretty cheap at Target, etc.

well, I just tried to access my account and it said invalid. I haven't used FSX in years, so I don't know how to get the info. I'll keep trying and if I figure it out, I'll shoot you a PM.

Be careful with this, I believe FSX uses internet activation and has a limit on activations per copy of the software. So you'll have to have the serial number that came with the packaging.

I also have a hard copy DVD version that you can have if everything else falls thru.

It's $17 with free shipping on Amazon. Hardly worth the effort and cost of shipping it back and forth to get around a license...

Yeah, just buy it on Amazon. Get the Gold Edition since it includes the Acceleration Expansion pack which enables you to use the "DX10 Preview" mode. I get significantly more FPS by doing so.

Yeah, that's what I thought when he opened the door to show me his "new sim" (he has another in the garage just like mine).

He said his wife was a little miffed that he spent $100k on it. I'm happy he did, get to fly it every time I'm in Clearwater on Business

Meh, real nerds like me manually install their flightplans to use the best repaints/models...and divide them by era along with the scenery.

As nerdy as it is, I would totally get a cockpit sim if I had the money. Of course I'd never fly it sober.
