Flight Express 210 Pilot

You are just required to land at an airport other than the one you took off. Regardless of distance, it still counts as a X-C for 135 and ATP minimums.

I spent a year at Flight Express, flying all over Florida. What a great experience. That makes a real pilot out of you. These days I am flying an airliner out of Tampa. Once in a while I get to taxi past the FLX hanger, on the rare days when we take off from runway 27. I always point it out to my First Officer, and tell him/her that those are "real" airplanes, flown by "real" pilots!

I still hear Sixtoe R. on the radio sometimes, flying into Tallahassee. Anyone else here know him?

Michigan: I never had the pleasure of meeting Sixtoe, but lord knows I've heard enough about him. Seems like every courier I met when I was TDY'd down south would have a Sixtoe story. See kids, FLX could make you a legend!

Sixto is the man, unfortunately he is leaving FLX to go fly lear's down in South Florida pretty soon. He's as steady as they come!

But let us not forget our Captain, who is also THE MAN, rockin' the MU 2!

You're too kind. I fly the moo because I couldn't figure out what all the shiny buttons did on the EMB. Unlike certain Captains I could name. Speaking of which, when do you upgrade?

You know if you really want to flatter me, you're going to have to call back when we all get really drunk and decide to call you at 1am. We know you're based in STL. Next time we're just going to drink till the sun comes up (ok we do that anyway) and go to Lambert and FIND YOU. I think I still have the CHQ directions to the pilot lounge. Our freedom and continued employment is in YOUR HANDS. Pick up the phone, there may not be a Tomorrow.

Reerun: last I heard they were still firm on the IFR mins. However, you (might) have the advantage of living in KC, where they have a lot of trouble filling spots, traditionally (I have no idea why). It's NEVER a bad idea to give Gary "Silvertongue" Hillyer a call. The worst thing he can say is "call me back in 6 months" and you'll have had the chance to speak to a living legend. 1-800-OPS-KORL ext. 613

Fair enough, I will to that this afternoon...

I cant imagine why anyone wouldnt want to fly around the midwest in these massive thunderstorms we have here... LOL!:panic:

Do they have a hard time keeping pilots on the Lit run? Are they subbing that run out to another company? I think it leaves Lit around 2;30 to Jbr then to Cps. Comes back around 5;00am.

t-cart: When I was there (flying out of CPS), yes, they did have trouble with LIT. Don't know whether that's still the case. At one point there was a guy living in the FBO down there (don't know how they managed that one). Whatever the case, again, it doesn't hurt to ask...

Thanks Boris.

I took over from the guy that lived in the FBO. It was a great run when I was doing it. Averaged around 60 hrs. month. I would have stayed but the girl I was living with decided to start buying lap dogs that did nothing but bark and ####. I hate lap dogs. I tried killing them but moved to AK instead. Looking back on it, I should have stayed at FLX.
