*cutlessI hope the cutlass bearing on your boat starts leaking more than it already is.
(Ok, it's actually a more complex issue, but I did a deep dive on it the other day)

I carry less stuff for my 17 days on the road than some people do for a four day.I see people schlepping around enough to go on a walking overland trip across the Darien Gap. All for a turn to Indianapolis.
Buy a LW. Anyone in this business long enough to know how to pour pee out of a boot knows where the wear spots are. Get a spare set of wheels, a spare handle and a bag of screws. Get some angle aluminum from the Home Despot, and make the unapproved field mods to the wear spots.
VERY small bag for you iPad, some pens, and, lemme check, yup, nothing else required. Your personal iPad or laptop...wait for it....fits in your suitcase.
Forage for food on breaks and/or layovers. The sippy bottles everyone carry amuse me. You'd think y'all were going to dissolve like you had the Omega IV virus.
There, done. Get off my lawn.

So I carry the food and supplements that are part of my diet/lifestyle
At my age you’d think that would be more likely. You can say aviation influencer boner pills. We don’t judge.
I found a better gig though, have you heard about essential oils?
Pssshhh you haven't realized your full potentiel until you recharge your crystals in flight on the glareshield
I guess you can roll your eyes and point and laugh or shake your head at people who do what I do. Enjoy it, I guess?
Our crews either put it on sideways through the pass-through, or some take the top handle and slide it over their suitcase extension handle. I personally put it as designed sideways for a lower center of gravity.I just picked up the Nomatic travel pack based on this thread. Curious how we are attaching it to our bags. I tried putting it sideways on the rails and it's a bit cumbersome to haul around. Love the bag. Thanks.

Backpacks explicitly prohibited at my shop, but if it can masquerade as luggage, I'm tempted.I again put up the Nomadic.

Pricey? Yes.
Tested by an overpacking 737 pilot who had the same complaints as you? Also yes.

That said, I've tried about every other damn flight bag out there. I was thinking I should start a lending library of flight bags, lol.
Anyone want a (banged and battered):
LuggageWorks Stealth Flight Cube
LuggageWorks Stealth EFB Flight Bag
Contrail 410
Aerocoast Pro Cooler II
Aerocoast Pro Flightbag
CoyoteWorks flight case
Luggageworks half-size underseat luggage (broken handle)
etc?![]()
You're in luck. The Nomatic lets you tuck in the straps with a nifty little snap-closure and you can carry it exactly like a briefcase since it has handles on both sides. In fact, that's how it's designed to fit over your roll aboard
The straps are very easy to pull out and use on an overnight and then stow when you have to put the uniform back on.
Did we in the Nomatic cult also mention that it's expandable?
Jeez. Between the two of us we've got enough spare junk to open a luggage shop. I'm about to list a bunch of my excess gear for sale just to clear it out of my apartment since I'm moving to a smaller place in a couple of months.
I am a j-hook purist though. Nothing goes on my handles.
I really, really wish I could sell things… But the social interaction is a nightmare for me. I have probably hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of stuff in aggregate that I could've sold over the years to buy more stuff, but selling stuff is a nightmare for me.
