Flight Bags

I honestly wouldn’t worry too much about it. Plenty of people rocking backpacks.

It's a pretty bad look (and causes issues with my "other" job) when I violate the FOM. The company probably only would use that in a disciplinary sense against somebody who already has a target on them, but they certainly would use it to undermine my credibility in an arbitration or even just a negotiation.

Interesting that's a thing.

@BobDDuck if you go sans backpack, big fan of my Peak Design V1 messenger. Gotta look on eBay these days to find the older ones, but they are darn nice. The newer versions are good too, but I really like the V1. Though I'm thinking of moving to a backpack myself as my apparent old man shoulders don't like the messenger loaded down on long photo walks. Also saw this one the other day that looks promising...

We are all in on Peak here. My wife has the V1 messenger bag, as well as a small camera case. I've got plates on both my camera bodies plus the bag clip and tripod. Their stuff is great. It also doesn't come in black... which is another FOM requirement.

Yeah I saw your other response after I commented. Makes sense.

I had an Everyday Backpack in black, the messengers do too I'm pretty sure.

Also, yes. We have a Peak problem around here. We even have a verb..."Peak Designing" when we noticed all of our crap was from them when traveling. Love the tripod too.

As long as you have KCM access, you have access to the secure side of DFW. When you get to the public door at gate C24 there is a sign with a phone number, you just call and someone "should" come up and escort you down to the store.
Does the escort have to be someone with an airport ID badge, or can an AA crew member escort them?

I don't think you need a badge, and definitely not a SIDA badge to get there. A lanyard with some sort of crew badge is more than plenty. It is just a retail store without the store front in the concourse. Still inside the sterile area like any of the credit unions, USOs, or prayer rooms scattered around the country in the airports.
