i just have a regular jeppesen student pilot flight bag, holds everything pretty well and its not really that big so i don't have to fell like im flying with a 30 pound carry on bag...:)

Thanks for the responses!

Ive seen Coyote Works bags, they look pretty nice.
Something to consider.

I guess a plastic bag works :).

Thanks again.

What flight bag do you use? I currently have a rolling case with the dividers inside and such, i was looking into getting something similar with the section in the back for a little packing.

Maybe like this

I like Samsonite, what do you think?

Samsonite sucks! I travel overseas 4-5 times a year, in the 3 years I had to replace my sam 2 times, now I got a Rimowa, that's good stuff (they also make a pilot bag, but it's kind of heavy). Btw if you are a pilot you get 25% off at samsonite...

Do you fly for an airline or something?

I love guys that walk to their PA28 with a rolling case, I remember at my old flight school, dispatch was at the and of a tile corridor that started at a small pilot lounge, you could ear them hauling their stuff from the briefing rooms.....

I don't really use a flight bag often but I have this one, you don't see many of them around, works great and you can keep it in front of you on the floor: http://www.sissonsatchels.com/ amazing quality!

Its funny to watch the progression of bag size as you move through ratings/jobs. I started off with a smaller bag, and by the time I was working on my commercial it was huge. Then as a CFI i just carried a headset case...and finally at my airline I drag around that big flight case.

:D

So true. Having been through the big-honkin' flight bag with kneeboards, fuel testers, charts, I'm down to what is actually an Eddie Bauer toiletries kit. Holds my headset, flashlight, handheld radio, spare batteries and a few other minor knicknacks (chief among them, a couple of those one-time-use folding paper funnels; makes life so much easier when you need some oil).

Using an old backpack right now. I would recommended doing it as right now i only have one working zipper and I'm worried about things getting damaged.

No lie...my girlfriend showed me this a few days ago and said if she learns to fly she will use this bag. I am not sure what disturbed me more, a $2800 dollar flight bag, or the fact that someone who can't parallel park or drive in a straight line wants to take flying lessons! :p
