Flight Bag

I think that helmet bag that military guys use is the best thing. Just throw it in and cram it somewhere. None of that stuff stays organized anyway after a while. Just don't wear a flight suit when you fly, and you can get away with it without any Maverick comments.

I use a backpack I bought on the internet for $29.99.

I use the headset bag I got free from AOPA, pilotmall sells a similar one. Holds a headset, flashlight, gps, pens, small notebook and one sector's worth of charts. I.e., a typical CFI bag

I've also got a more traditional chart case, but only take it when, you know, I anticipate breaking my back hauling around a lot of charts.

I use a Gleim one that came with my private pilot books 7 years ago. Still use it.

I use one from Coyote Works. Prior that I had similar one from Office Depot but it was made out of Ballistic nylon and it lasted me 10 years.

I have a Brightline Bag for all of the essentials. Then I have a Bose flight bag that I got for free with my headset for all of my books.

:yeahthat:
Minus the skid strip.

My bag takes a beating so I had to go for the skid plates. Plus we don't have jet bridges and the skid plate feet keep the bag out of most of the wet mess...

I've had it for about a year now and love it. It should be the last bag I ever buy.

I've had mine for a little over a year and a half. It's taken a pretty good lickin but doesn't show much. The new gig doesn't require one so I guess I'll just collect dust.

I second the AOPA Bag comment...fits my headset, light, kneeboard, wallet, medical, pens, gum, a snack or two. Charts and all else are electronic, and I have an electronic backup on my Garmin Brick...err, 696.
