"Flagship" Pilots:

Not when Washington is having equipment problems and they hand of a bunch of airspace to JAX. Come to think of it it's actually Wilmington's airspace.

I can see Washington handing traffic to JAX if they're having issues. But, JAC doesn't start until you get much further south, toward the Myrtle Beach Area.

OAJ is Class E, in Washington Center's airspace. You can get your clearance through Wilmington approach, and vectors and such, but that's about it - ILM is a good clip away!

Picked up a clearance or picked up a release?

I'll be honest, I didn't even know you could pick up a clearance and not get a release time. I always thought when you picked up your clearance is when they gave you the ol "released for departure, void if not off by HH:MM, time now :MM" sorta thing. Maybe the Shaniqua crew thought they had just picked up their clearance and didn't know they had a void if not off by time, who knows.

I don't remember how long the actual release time was valid for. 30 minutes is what I remember but honestly that wasn't the point of the post. It was that everyone %$#@s up.

How'd you know I'm in Lubbock tomorrow night!?
Jtrain: Where do ya'll stay when in LBB? Drop me a text or PM the next time you're out there and let me know. We get absurdly-long layovers there. Perhaps we can meet up.....go cow-tippin'....or cow-chip-tossin'......or sum'n. :D

I thought I saw you with a couple cow-chips in your pocket in Vegas. Trying to bring a little of that Texas fun to Sin City, huh?

:p
