DynCorp Kabul, Kabol Afghanistan, International:<BR /><strong>Job Summary</strong><br />The Fixed Wing Maintenance Pilot (MP) performs maintenance test flights to determine airworthiness of aircraft and operates as a rated crewmember in support of approved missions.<br /><strong><br />Principal Accountabilities</strong><br /><ul><li>Perform operational checks, routine maintenance, and maintenance test flights to ensure the airworthiness of the fleet. <br /></li><li>Transport cargo, passengers and conduct other missions as directed. <br /></li><li>Conduct day and night flights, under visual and instrument meteorological conditions. <br /></li><li>Required to maintain night currency and Instrument proficiency.</li><li>Perform rated crewmember duties in accordance with aircrew training program requirements</li><li>Plan and perform loading and unloading activities, compute the center-of-gravity position and ensure it is within prescribed limits at all times.</li><li>Ensure the cargo compartment is properly configured for each mission.</li><li>Verify and maintain a manifest for cargo and/or personnel.</li><li>Supervise and participate in loading/unloading operations.</li><li>Ensure cargo and passengers are properly restrained.</li><li>Confirm security of cargo and passengers as necessary.</li><li>Perform emergency procedure actions as required by applicable directives</li><li>Perform aircraft and ground servicing and training duties including fueling operations, aircraft configuration changes as assigned and required.</li><li>May be assigned duties as Lead Pilot, and if qualified, Standardization Pilot, Instructor Pilot, Maintenance Examiner, Pilot-in-Command, or other additional duties relating to flight operations as required. <br /></li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul><strong>Knowledge &amp; Skills</strong><br /><ul><li>FAA Commercial Airman Certificate with Instrument and Multi-engine Land rating</li><li>FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit</li><li>Possess a current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.Branch 15 Aviation MOS series/AFSC 11 or other military/commercial equivalent (155G preferred). <br /></li><li>Compliance with the FAR Part 61.31 <br /></li><li>Ability to demonstrate proficiency in understanding aircraft systems, components, and operations. <br /></li><li>Possess a thorough knowledge of FAA and ICAO regulations pertinent to the host country and operational requirement. <br /></li><li>Possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance is a condition of employment; an active Secret Security Clearance is preferred. <br /></li><li>Possess a current US Passport or have the ability to obtain one before assignment.</li><li>Demonstrated, proven and verifiable aviation experience including ethics, ability, and professionalism of the highest standards is required for this position. </li></ul>
