I guess I just don't have a lot of faith in airline management. Like I said, I hope the RAH guys can get the rates they deserve for flying the E190. If they do, fantastic. If not, well, it's just another rung on the ladder above me falling off.

Business is business. As another thread on here is going on. A business isn't there to give things to the employee's; they're there to make a profit. The company decided the path it was going down wasn't profitable, and decided to act. They gave the people who were already working at Midwest a chance to fix the problem, and they were laughed at. So, the business did what they needed to do to keep the shareholders happy, and try to make them profitable.

The Republic pilot's had nothing to do with the contracts. The only pilots to blame should be the Midwest pilots, because they were not willing to work to save their jobs.

Says right there on the operating certificate. ERJ-190/195.

Not EMB-190/195. And the RJ in ERJ stands for Regional Jet! Duh!

Mainline aircraft that will be operated by regional pilots who will hopefully soon be able to be classed as mainline pilots. Confused yet?

Do you know the story behind Midwest? Do you think that this is a classic example of lower wages = purchase of airline?

Well, what he said is true, up until the part where he said it was the Midwest pilots' fault. It's not their fault, but what is happening is all part of business.

I did a quick search couldn't find a pay scale anywhere, maybe someone on this site would know. I'm sure it can't be much worse than what the regionals are paying.
