Fired for?

If it's that dirt bag operator that flies metroliners out of KELP(I think), I'm not surprised.

I think I have your story straight. You wrote an airplane up a few days earlier, they didn't like it. Later on that week, you flew an airplane AROUND weather like a reasonable human being. ATC told you your destination was closed due to weather and you waited, but your operator wanted you to fly through the weather, shoot an approach and land there anyways.

So you did 2 things they didn't like, and they let you go.

Am I right?

The weather was 800 and 1/4 so vfr was not possible. I diverted to another airport as I was instructed. The plane was empty. I ended up at the destination 45 min late

ATC wasn't allowing arrivals for WX?

Articulate the details into a written format, and report it as previously mentioned then.

Never heard of an airport refusing arrivals because of poor visibility.

Only thing I can think of is if there was already someone on approach to an uncontrolled field, or a departure launching. But that's not clear in the details yet.

Well if you communicated your issues to the company as poorly as you have done here I can understand why they fired you. I'm sorry if thats harsh but times are tough and there are a lot of good pilots out of work, best to be on your game.

Ok, so the reasons I got fired was that I did not disregard the controllers who told me an airport was closed and that I wrote up a broken airplane. Does that help. Two unrelated incidents. But those were the reasons I was given

Treat me like an idiot here because I (like others) am having a very hard time making any sense of your situation as to why you got fired.

  • Make a few bullet points in the order the events happened
  • BE DETAILED because your explanations so far are quite fragmented
  • If you want empathy, and not solutions - that's fine. But, unless we can understand what you went through we can't understand what you're going through

Agree. Am not trying to pry, but since the poster posted this here and asked if he'd been wronged, I need to know the situation as a whole and how all the pieces tie-in, in order to understand his side of the story. Guess its the cop side of me.

If it's the place I think it is, isn't it PFT/PFJ?

I'm not sure. I don't remember who they are. I just remember watching an altercation on the ramp between a pilot and who I assume was someone from management. Their pay is absolute crap too. I think they just fly car parts.

Everyone in this company argues with management

Maybe if he wrote the plane up using the same kind of grammar/writing skills he is using here, they couldn't figure out what he wrote the plane up for, just like we can't figure out what he's trying to say here. Complete sentences for the win!

If you continue with the approach, what are you suppose to do?? Land at close runway/airport?? If you do that I think you were going to get fired anyway. This guys wanted an excuse to terminate your job, look around there are better opportunities..........

For the love of god, tell use the WHOLE thing, don't leave things out. This is like pulling teeth. You're going to lose interest from about everyone really quick.

Also, pt 91. Ya, so how was the airport/approach closed?
