Fired for?

Ok, sorry I left the house for a few days and had no internet.

So flying to the airport still about 50 mi out I got told by approach that they were not accepting anymore arrivals due to the weather. I did not think it was too bad but still not vfr. So I diverted as I was instructed. Then I left the place I diverted to and had to go the long way around the b airspace. The company said that I was in the wrong for not just continuing to the original airport. Saying that I do not have to listen to the controllers and they are just there to help. I agree with this if you are out of a or b airspaces.

The second reason they gave me is that I wrote up an airplane. Last week I was in contact with the director of maintenance for two or three days about the problem. He told me to make sure that no one flew it on Monday and it would go to the shop. So on Monday I wrote the airplane up and flew the route in a different airplane. I come to find out that they sent the parts to fix the problem but the hydraulic pump was the wrong one. The owner said I cost him too much money since I wrote the plane up and couldn’t fly it back up to one of the companies own maintenance facilities.
hope this better explains it. and no it wasnt gta. i flew for them and enjoyed it when i worked there.

It is not Sierra West either. They won't even send the aircraft to the maintenance shop. For places like this, getting fired is a blessing

Yay! The OP is back. Not a troll job after all.

Sorry to hear about everything. As someone else pointed out - getting fired was probably a good thing.

Keep a record of what happened but move on. You'll have to own this when you move on to a new job, but you can also turn it into a positive experience.

Human Resources: "Tell me about a time you were forced to do a flight you were uncomfortable with."

You: "Well, let me tell you why I'm here . . . "

Ok. Did you ask to hold, slow your arrival speed, what?

This is too difficult to figure out anymore....good luck in finding whatever you're looking for here in this thread.

At this point all I can side with is the employer because you haven't really given any justifiable reason for you actions.

Did you ask why the airport was not accepting arrivals? I had ATC tell me that the other day. I didn't immediately divert. I queried why. Turns out it was a VIP and they were not landing airplanes for like 10 mins. So I held for 10 mins or so. I've had airports go below my wx mins, doesn't mean divert NOW. WHY was the airport closed. Your still leaving out a ton of detail, especially if you want a future employer to look upon the firing favorably.

Agreed.
If you gave me this story (and were this vague) in a interview, I would be hard pressed to hire you. My thoughts would be (and are) that you are not being forthright.........
