I'm thinking about going to ATP's 90 day program but I have no desire to complete the cfi training. Mainly because I simply do not want to instruct. I know it makes you a great pilot, I just simply don't want to hassle with it.
Also, I had a freind that finished the 90 day program including the cfi training but didn't take his scheduled checkride because he felt he wasn't prepared enough and didn't want to fail. He planned on taking the check ride at an FBO but he applied to AE and got hired. He also has other freind that got hired their having lower times then the published mins.
My question is, how many ATP graduates get hired before they acutally instruct? Do you still get the guaranteed airline interviews if you choose not to do the cfi training?
Anyone else opting not to do the cfi training?
