Ferry Pilots

Turbine,
I sent my form to the email listed on top. Thanks for the post! Let me know if you have any questions or need me.
Thanks,
Tommy

Wrong answer my friend. If your doing a ferry trip that needs to be covered along with per diem. What your doing by saying that is trying to undercut the rest of us. Best way to make enemies right there.

Wait, let me consult the Human Resources Practices Manual.

Oh right. The use of pass privileges in furtherance of a business is prohibited, and may result in termination.

I've made a couple recent posts looking for ferry pilots. SkyCrew Aviation is moving the airplanes and I continously need pilots for all the various ferry requests.

If you are interested in doing occasional contract work please fill out the pilot qualifications form found here:

http://skycrewaviation.com/pilot-jobs-non-members/

Thanks!

I have 280tt with 170 multi. I have airline flight privileges and can fly most any where. I am also laid off at the moment and able to go at a moments notice :). Let me know if there is a ferry I qualify for and I will jump on it! I will fill out the form today.

I know we have been hard on you the last few days, but again this is a no no. You cannot use airline privileges for this purpose and YOU shouldn't. If your being paid to fly a trip, you should also have your travel covered to and from. If anyone were to find out you were using someone's flight bennies to do this they could lose them. I know your excited to fly, but be realistic.

Dude. No. No using jump seat privies for commercial gain. Big no no, bad juju.

These are my flight privileges. Not someone else's. and it's already been ok'd with my manager. I currently commute from sacramento to Phoenix ever other week to fly a Barron. The manager knows this and is fine with it. I appreciate your concern. However, I am just trying to build a little extra time.

Some people actually care to help my career take off and are happy to help any way possible. Including not making it a big deal when I use MY bennies to commute.

Why don't you just do the deliveries for free? You are either just too young to know that what you are doing is raping all the pilots looking for gainful work or just don't care. I would never hire you.

I tried to help you in the other thread. I'm out man.

EDIT: You know what, I'm gonna voice my opinion. Your tone is that of an entitled child. There I said it.

"Why are you guys picking on me, this is MY ball guys, I'll take it away and we can't play kickball if you guys keep picking on me"

We're not out to get you, you're jumping in front of the barrel

Wow! Have you people ever looked into ferrying flights?? Most ferry companies only hire retired airline pilots that have FLIGHT BENEFITS!!! I'm not saying ill do it for free and steal someone's job!! I'm saying I can fly to any place needed for work.

I'm sorry for those of you who can't fly the airlines for free. But stop hating on me because I can! If you are so sour about it then get an airline job on the ground and get flight benefits!

One day when you're commuting to your regional, you're going to get bumped by some guy abusing his bennies. You'll jump very quickly to the other side of the court when that happens.

Flight benefits are not meant to be commercialized. PERIOD.

Just curious....

Is it wrong for me to apply to a job in Texas that will NOT pay for my flight out to interview??? Is it wrong to apply and simply fly out on my airline for free to the interview?

I'm just using resources available to me.

I guess you have no idea how it works...

You think my ticket counter benefits can bump a commuting pilot or flight attendant?? Absolutely not! They are waaaay further up the list than I am.

That much is up to you and your personal situation financially. A lot of people will say not, some will say yes. I wouldn't fault you for taking it, but I personally wouldn't fly for a company who can't take the 200 dollar hit to interview me. It costs MUCH more than that to train me and anyone else. The interview flight should be a confidence factor on their part that you are a good candidate. They have no vested interest in applicants if they have not spent any money to bring them in.

But again, that's me and my philosophy, nothing wrong with companies not flying people out in general.

Oh yeah I forgot, every airline works the same way. My bad.

I've worked for 4 airlines and it is the same system. Infact, I worked the ticket counter at 2 of them and it is literally the same entry code to list someone with benefits on a flight. The "priority" is the same at each airline as well. I was a flight attendant and commuted on basically every airline domestically. It's all the same. I had priority over the ticket counter people even on airlines other than the one I worked for. It's a "cabin seat agreement" specifically for commuting flight crews. Ill never bump anyone. But thanks for your input.
