Ferry Pilots

Is this place legit? I noticed on the website we are to PAY them in order for us to be considered a "crew member". @Turbine Can you fill us in on this detail?
 
I had no idea my four year old was doing web design. Really got to keep a better eye on her...smh

Yes this place is legit. The webpage is under construction. The "Crew Member" membership has nothing to do with the ferry crews. Originally this website was not the web page for the ferry services. It was strictly consultation and the "Crew Member" title was for people who ordered a consultation.

The website has recently been redone (and is still in the process) to combine the consulting and aircraft ferry service together. Once it is complete the "Crew Member" membership will no longer display. You DO NOT have to pay to be a ferry crew. ...That wouldn't even make sense.. and I am strongly against pay for training.

Based on a comment like that I can see the character you are. Part of the reason I started my own business was to never have to fly with people like you...and I must say..it is quite nice.
 
Gotcha. Didn't make sense once I saw it....knew others would have the same question once they visited the site! Thanks for the reply. I sent my information to you earlier today to the email provided on the site.
 
Think I will fill out the form and send it your way. I live in Naples, Fla and have over 430TT with 37 Multi. Working on my CFI as I type. :)

I only have 300tt but i have 50 multi. I also have airline benefits so I can travel to wherever the job is for free. Ill submit an application!
 
Sorry folks. I am very new at all of this. Wasn't trying to abuse powers or upset anyone. I take my comment back. Just trying to find some work as a low time pilot.

Thank you for taking the time to explain the perception to @Justin Grant, as stated he says he's new to this as we all were at one point.

Justin - there are plenty of opportunities on this site alone you will be able to take advantage of. Keep looking around, it's a good community where we try to help each other and keep on the straight and narrow. Best luck.

If you look into your non-rev or jumpseat agreement, you'll notice the part where you are not allowed to use it for commercial purposes. Why no one black lists the people advertising on barnstormers is beyond me. I know if I was in charge, I'd take the 20 seconds to rescind their privileges.

Agreed, @Justin Grant , there are a lot of low time guys here who don't have AP's. Like z987k said, your AP regs state you can't use them for commercial interests like this. JC is all about teaching the new pilots the way of the world in a sense, but it's not about saying sorry for making a comment like you did, it's about understanding why that comment gets so many people upset. Pilots are our own worst enemies, we as a group have a tendency to stab each other in the back if it means getting to fly. Judging by your times, can I safely assume you're a CSEL holder & possibly a CMEL? I know I didn't want to hear it either, but a CFI certificate is really the next logical step unless you're very well networked...which hey, you're in the right place to make friends and network in the process! Welcome to JC, it's a great community, just stay off of @Boris Badenov 's lawn and don't pee on the rug.
