As am I since our current CBA goes through 1 July 2016....

As far as the very first place people are likely to be sent, is it often the middle of nowhere, or just not the nice shiny fancy places like people would prefer? I don't know If I could stand living in North Dakota lol!

Middle of nowhere and nice shiny fancy places don't always correlate. I work with a guy from and have seen pictures from the old tower at LGA. Diapers and duct taped tarps were used to mitigate roof leaks. Not that those were your biggest concerns, what with the rat infestations and exposed electrical wiring. They send you where they send you. If you don't like it, transfer.

Feel free to share!

Add 1% to every number on the 2013 pay scale.

Man that's rough! I don't mind a crummy building, I just honestly don't know if I could spend a few years in Iowa or some such place....

It will be fun either way I guess, but transferring as the strategy, knowing how slow the gubmit works, hmmm. If they send me to the middle of nowhere, hopefully it's warm and I never have to see another snow flake again!!

Not sure if this is true or not. Hopefully it is.

got the no as well. Seems like the biographical survey is what is getting everybody. Strange.

so if 1800 people passed, and out of those about half can be expected to make it through ATSAT, the gubmit might be a little short of their 1300 goal.....

Things are going to get interesting and I think there will be another pubnat in the near future!

Statistically 20% fail the ATSAT and like 60% of the remaining candidates score WQ.

I applied for the heck of it and got rejected. I wonder what the magic combination was to get the biographical survey right.

I made it past the BQ, not sure what the magic responses were but I'm just waiting for an official email from the FAA about the ATSAT before I get too excited.

I broke down and called the FAA HR, and they looked me up and told me I passed the BQ. Very relieved....on to the next step!

Sorry to everybody that didn't make it this time, I'm sure they will have quite a few more hiring announcements in the future!

Would you mind sharing your education/work background? If not here then PM?

Also didn't pass the BQ. @nabbyfan is the only one I know to have passed it. CTI grads in the 3 ramp towers here were all turned down, as were all their CTI-grad buddies. Very strange...
