F-15E shot down over Iran

Have your uh friends really thought this one out?
I'm wondering that one myself, you'd think theh would purposely land close to each other, but I don't think there's a fringe conspiracy theory behind it it. It just doesn't make sense to me. No one has seriously answered my question.

Well let’s think…… guessing the plane was moving during the ejection. Guessing they didn’t eject at the exact same time. That’s a start.

Vis the IDs left behind at the site --

I'd assume if there were remains associated with the ids left at the site the Iranians would have released video of that.

So maybe they left in a huge hurry and didn't have time to grab their bags? Seems odd to me theee people would even carry ID like that in hostile territory on a combat mission.

Did it occur to you the Iranians could have faked the ids? An American citizen doesn't need an Israeli visa or vice versa

Kinda.

A visa card is good for ten years and describes permitted activities and limits on stay duration. An Israeli would clear customs faster if they had a visa card.

Also, it may provide evidence to an employer that you may work legally in the US.

How much distance do you travel in 2 seconds going 350kts? And these kind of parachutes are not like skydiving parachutes. They’re not very steerable.
To be honest, when I read a report that the crew landed a couple of miles apart, I raised an eyebrow and discounted it. Unless the seats were set for solo, delay between ejections would be less than half a second. 350kts is about 600ft/sec.

There might be reasons it was reported as such.

I guess it would depend on altitude and the winds and terrain. Seen plenty of sticks of paratroopers get spread all over the place

I don't think the Iranians would bungle a detail like that, but I suppose it IS possible.

I think it's legit. I suspect her stuff was in one of the scuttled C-130s and she either forgot or didn't have a chance to grab it when they left. I have no idea why she was there, the conspiracy is she was a nuclear scientist working at a US forward operating base in Iran looking for the enriched material the Iranians claim they have. Or she was just along the for the ride doing the same thing. It might be true. All I know is it's going to make for a compelling script for a movie "based" on a true story at some point.

When I was but a midshipman, attending the USN Submarine Ball in downtown Seattle one night, we were all hanging out in this foyer near the ballroom with our cocktails. Unknown to us, in the adjoining ballroom, the Medal of Honor society (or whatever it is called) was having their annual get-together. So all of us were in the same cocktail hour effectively. An older kinda slight guy in a suit wearing a MoH around his neck approached a friend and me, stuck his hand and said "hey I was in the Navy too!" and introduced himself as Tom Norris. And then another much larger old guy came over, also wearing a suit and a MoH, and said something like "what kinda lies is this •head telling you? I saved his life!!" Tom Norris was the SEAL who rescued BAT-21/Col Hambleton, and the other guy was Michael Thornton who was another SEAL who did in fact save Tom's life several months later. It was a wild couple of guys to happen to meet, at an otherwise boring e

Tommy Norris was an instructor of mine for a short while. He was so chill, I didn’t figure out who he was until our paths had diverged. He was just “Tommy the Old Guy”. Head slap. Legendary.
