You ARE Freaking out. Man.
Certificates do have some intrinsic value, so letting dormant certs die can be a loss. But this is…

That's no way to talk about SkywestIf I didn't have a firm class date at Family Airlines already bought and paid for I'd jump on the Zombie Expressjet thing.

Except at Family Airlines - after we get the fourth engine for the 747 bought - I'm hoping they take my suggestion for the whole US Park Ranger type costume/uniforms that Skybus used to have.“SureJet Part Deux”?!
LEEEROOOOY JENKINS
That operation is a mess. Only operated one successful flight so far.
LOL!!! Yeah I'm so sure the EAS budget will cover that. They put in for EAS for Jamestown and Devils Lake, ND ... on a 757.
Yep, California Pacific didn't even last 2 months because they were on the ADI cert and one of their 2 ERJs was hit by a vehicle in Jamestown I think and RIP.Pretty sure ADI, which Rob used to run, also went there. Trying to go back to turf he knows.

2 thoughts; they are old as JAL and JAS (who JAL acquired) were right behind United in 1995 entries to service and early orders. Also, the Japanese have a reputation for meticulously caring for aircraft. So a used 777 from JAL and a used 777 from UA probably have different levels of reliability. I remember hearing the UPS folks were shocked how clean and well-maintained their used JAL MD-11s were.JAL 777s must be cheap because I just found out NASA got one to replace their DC-8

SeaPort, eh? You ever spend time in the Pendleton house?Doesn’t surprise me, he was at the helm during my first year at SeaPort. Right up until they filed bankruptcy lol
Was it JAZ if you happen to know? I forget what their expat subsidiary was but I think it was JAZ which did a lot of the Hawaii flying and also charters. Like ANA with Air Japan, I think both JAL/ANA are pretty big on keeping foreign hands off their mainline metal for the most part.This.
I flew with a guy who used to do contract stuff for JAL. I think he said he had one MEL the entire time he was there.
I heard he got all his money from being a crypto bro. That’s just wild rumor though. The best most beautiful efficient economic system in the world continuing to give Rob McKinney money, great
