Gear and flaps 9 at 250 could bail you out of just about anything.I miss the dead simple simplicity of the 145. You could point it somewhere and it'd show up stabilized and on speed almost no matter what you did.

Having flown both, I agree the 145 trumps the 200 in everything except top speed (you know, for when you're on your last leg and have to make a commute). The 700/900 definitely trumps the 145 (including the XR).
My haterade is largely focused on the -200. The -7/-9 are right proper airliners.Having flown both, I agree the 145 trumps the 200 in everything except top speed (you know, for when you're on your last leg and have to make a commute). The 700/900 definitely trumps the 145 (including the XR).
And yoke design. Seriously Embraer, stop it.Having flown both, I agree the 145 trumps the 200 in everything except top speed (you know, for when you're on your last leg and have to make a commute). The 700/900 definitely trumps the 145 (including the XR).
A few minutes matter when you're catching a commute. I'm just saying.top speed means s**t when you're paid block or better...plus you ever done the math....on speed...we're talking a few minutes
I never thought there'd come a day when referencing Southpark was dating myself.

This. I'm all for block or better except when it's the go home leg. Depending on the commute hose few minutes can be the difference between getting to sleep in my own bed and another night in a crash pad.A few minutes matter when you're catching a commute. I'm just saying.

Generally, it's the Man's airplane and I fly it their way.Even if you're late?
Even if you're late?
Yokes… Giggle!
It's all about that stick, about that stick, no trimwheel.
as a forever commuter...I see your point but going .81 vs .78 has a lot less affect than getting an early push back and getting to the runway and getting to the gate.A few minutes matter when you're catching a commute. I'm just saying.
OF COURSe they use "tactical" CI. What was your call sign in the service Derg?We use "target gate arrival" times and TCI/"Tactical Cost Index".
If you target gate arrival time is between 1202Z and 1213Z, you'll adjust your cost index to values corresponding to "TCI FAST", "TCI SLOW", "TCI NONE" in order to get into the window.
I don't know, I hate being late because ultimately, I'm going to start a chain reaction that's going to screw up my commute or my layover.
