No, actually the joke is still on you for capitalizing the word "Intel" when not referring to the company. Also, I was (jokingly) referring to Intel's long-term stock performance, not their prospects as an employer. If you had purchased 1000 shares of Intel stock back in 1980 for $320, after stock splits it would be worth $31,600 today, and that's not including reinvesting the stock's dividends. Not too shabby! Of course, you would have had to actually do some research and simple math to find this out, so I'm not surprised you didn't. I did find a good picture you can print out and put on your front door though, or perhaps have made into a t-shirt. Wear it proudly, you've definitely earned it!
