Envoy may hire soon

For the Envoy interview, know your stuff and show you are someone they can work with. If you do that, you give yourself a good chance to get hired. Most people who work in Envoy dispatch have 15 years plus experience and have experienced a wide variety of different new hire aptitudes and personalities. They know what kind of person they want and dont want to work with. They also quickly lose a lot of new hires to AA and WN. All this stuff can play a part in who they hire. A lot of people both internally and with dispatch experience apply to Envoy so with only 4 people being hired, there wont be a shortage of people for them to choose from. They are not like some of the other regionals that has to hire people who have a pulse. Remember this if you interview there.

ok thanks, no I heard nothing. good to have closure though, again never hurts to apply, except I guess if its me according to many members here. Can't wait for August.
 
I don't know the status of the hiring process, but I just heard that they increased the class from 4 to 8. Several people moved on since the class of 4 was originally posted.

It never hurts to apply if you have a license or are a week or two away from taking the practical. If you are still several months away from getting the license, you wont get a call and you may get black listed by that airline for wasting HRs time if you put on the application that you had a license in the hopes of gaming the system.

Airlines dont hire dispatchers based off future potential. They want a dispatcher that can work as soon as the class is supposed to happen. They rarely if ever hire someone and let them start on that dispatchers own schedule. If you arent ready to be in a new hire class within a few weeks then you shouldnt apply.

Most Dispatch jobs are basically take it or leave it propositions. You cant really negotiate salary in most places, cant negotiate when you will start and there is no shortage of people willing to do whatever it takes to get the job.
