"well poop..... S-turns?"
lol.
Ha ha. I'd be lying if I said I haven't done that once or twice in the RJ.

How about forward slips? lolHa ha. I'd be lying if I said I haven't done that once or twice in the RJ.

Then it's time to call flaps 8, set thrust, positive rate, gear up.
How about forward slips? lol
May want to refresh your go around call.
You laugh, we had a CA do that in a 200 going into BUR.
The lights have to add at least 500fpm for the amount of rumble and noise created.Yep! It's virtually the same drag profile as the 757 and 767. Until you really get the flaps hanging out there, they are lift devices only. Boards mostly make noise but you've got to use them (they might give you 500 fpm depending)... if you don't, you'll be in another state before you get down! The exception is into JFK with the overhead pattern.... that's the only place that runs me around enough where I can get away with just floating down.
I flew the maddog for a bit (same wing that you're working with)- it was very similar to the CRJ in regard to flaps and drag (just as you described). We gotta get you on the big birds!![]()

I didn't even know you had time to be annoyed with legs that short.I notice maybe a 50fpm increase when they pop out. Most annoying thing ever is when captains forget they are out there on climb out and you say something like "lights, boss", and they turn off the side floodlights but leave the landing lights hanging out.
