Don't know who.Being able to read both versions of the announcement would be helpful to those without access to the company websites.
I thought perhaps there was more than one version of the announcement since the statement in quotes in post #77 doesn't appear in the DL version of the memo. The language addressing the same concept isn't as fuzzy from Dickson. And words will be important when the dust settles.
There are several versions of the announcement. The one passed along to current 9E pilots was only a vague overview and the bullet points. The specifics of what is required to flow up (2 years as CA, 3 failures, etc) are outlined in a much longer form pdf you can look at yourself on the public www.endeavorair.com website under careers&job postings> pilots>learn more about the Etd>download document details. (Un)Happy reading.

Is it true they get 15-16 days off on reserve though? An entire new hire class recently at SWA was nothing but military. I'm beginning to wonder whether they just can't get civilian guys anymore because word has gotten out that upgrades and decent schedules don't come for decades. A recent ALPA poll of all FFD carrier pilots showed that only half of the pilots would even consider going to SWA. Delta was somewhere around 90%.

True, but airways reserve go for me was 11 days off and I couldn't sit long call at home. Do the lines have to be 16 days off as well?Yes. But don't let that fool you. We're talking major airlines, here, not regionals, so it's a different game than you're used to. Most major airlines have a ton of work rules to make reserve bearable. The guys sitting long call reserve at Delta may get 23 days at home because they're not getting called, while SWA has only short call, so you're either flying or sitting around in domicile in a crash pad or hotel during all of your reserve days. Except for the min days off, reserve work rules are nonexistent at SWA.
I've thus far resisted the urge to say something smart when NorShuttle is on the frequency. We'll see how long that lasts. (They were getting lost at LAX yesterday.)I deleted it for that, and also because the mention of it makes pilots go into a frenzy. One of our IBT reps explained the full details to me today and my initial reaction was, "well that's pretty low pay but I'll admit BKK is a cheap/fun city!" Then he said it was 3500 Krona not USD, a quick use google's currency converter and I nearly threw up in my mouth.![]()
