Endeavor Flow for new hires

Is anyone else blown away at the accuracy in predicting the what and when?! I honestly believed April 1st all over again.

I'm really curious what junior FOs at other companies think about this. Enough to jump ship from RP, PSA, etc?
Pump the brakes. This deal sucks and you are way too excited.

Highly doubtful. Anybody jumping ship from another regional to Endeavor is subjecting themselves to at least another 5 years at the regionals.

I like how they're trying to sell it as Delta keeping a pipeline for their retirements. The reality is this is a non-monetary way to staff Endeavor. The big question is will the airline be around long enough for these guys to get 2 years in the left seat? The bigger question is between guys that either don't want to go, can't afford to go or busted their SSP interviews, will there be enough left seats around after the shrinking stops?

The more I read, the bigger the smoke and mirrors are, and this just looks like another dog and pony show to get people with a pulse to show up for class.

Where did I say I was excited? I'm just asking if people that are junior at other regionals view it as a big enough 'carrot' to jump ship.

Trust me. I'm well aware that it's even worse than the Super Senior Pilot Program. The whole 'no letters' and 'cancel at any time' parts mean it's pretty much worthless.

However, I am a bit excited that the rumors were actually something real this time though. It means that they're not just spreading BS to keep our hopes up. They're legitimately trying to destroy any morale this group had left.

As I stated before though I won't complain if this lures in enough people to get me back to DTW.

This isn't even a "dangling of a carrot" for Endeavor new hires, it's the dangling of a picture of a carrot that is locked away in an airtight box.

All Delta cares about is staffing their low cost feeder airline, they couldn't care less about staffing issues for mainline Delta. Delta will continue to shrink Endeavor over the years to come and the Captain ranks will be filled with lifer Captains who either failed the SSP or never interviewed in the first place. FOs hired into the EtD plan, will spend years and years waiting to UPGRADE, only in order to serve their sentence as Captain for 2 years at Endeavor before flowing. When Delta is done with the game, they simply close the doors of Endeavor ala Comair...and there go the dreams of the EtD Generation.

EtD is the Ponzi Scheme of all Ponzi Schemes. Somewhere Bernie Madoff is starting a "slow clap" for Richard Anderson

Never thought I'd see the day when someone couldn't hold DTW. Dang.

And I agree on the last part, but I wouldn't count out that management group's ability to still spread BS to keep your hopes up.....

Isn't this kind of the same thing jetBlue has been doing with CapeAir and ExpressJet? Hopefully they're more selective than JetBlue... (I'm talking to you Adam from the July 2013 class. Stop walking around like you're suddenly Charles Lindbergh)

Assuming any suckers actually bite.

The quote "Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it comes to mind."

Im willing to bet there are droves of young pilots who have zero idea of what Delta will do their own. Or have any idea what a regional wind-down will look like or how it will play out.

Oh people will come Ray, people will come....

Or guys like Trip7 or the tons of guys from here that have left recently. I don't think it's near as many military any more as people think. Those guys are set on SWA. :)

An entire new hire class recently at SWA was nothing but military. I'm beginning to wonder whether they just can't get civilian guys anymore because word has gotten out that upgrades and decent schedules don't come for decades. A recent ALPA poll of all FFD carrier pilots showed that only half of the pilots would even consider going to SWA. Delta was somewhere around 90%.

JetBlue's thing is more like what Delta has with most DCI carriers: a preferential interview. You still have to interview at JetBlue when you get called on at CapeAir. This is one interview for both airlines it sounds like. My biggest thing is how is a low time guy straight outta Riddle gonna be able to answer Delta's TMAAT questions? He'll probably rock the house on the tech portion, but when it gets to the decision making analysis part of the interview, there aren't that many decisions to analyze.

This one time at the dorm, my roomie was playing Crossfire until 3am, and I was like "Man, I gotta fly in the morning, not cool dude!"

I deleted it for that, and also because the mention of it makes pilots go into a frenzy. One of our IBT reps explained the full details to me today and my initial reaction was, "well that's pretty low pay but I'll admit BKK is a cheap/fun city!" Then he said it was 3500 Krona not USD, a quick use google's currency converter and I nearly threw up in my mouth. :(
