I’m of the opinion that getting hired by a mainline is all about how great you can market yourself as a dispatcher, having a great reputation (this is a small industry) and your willingness to get better and learn more. If you’re in this for just the get 6 figure salary as fast as possible scheme… you’ll probably get frustrated unless you have an friend who is an executive or a family member that can get you in at a mainline. I believe that the mainlines are for the dispatchers who truly love their craft and want to do this their whole lives and constantly get better.
So I don’t buy the whole, work for this airline that’s specific to get you in to a mainline (Unless maybe Envoy) but no thanks
