From what I've come to understand, Endeavor is sort of like the farm league for Delta, much like Envoy is for American. Do well there and you pretty much have a guaranteed interview for the major league team. I think it's a great model. You get dispatchers who are familiar with the system already and pretty much walk in with 80% of the work already done to get them up to speed.

Not really.. deltas hired like 3 dispatchers from endeavor in the last 3-4 years

You would think that but unfortunatley that is not the case.. talked to a few dxers there.. they have no preferential hiring or anything that seperates them from anyone else off the street.

Makes sense though as its better to mess with your competitors by hiring away their dispatchers vs messing up your own regional op by taking away their dispatchers who your regional would now be responsible for back filling.

It goes in waves. When i started in 2017, I was laughed at on my first day of OJT when i said delta was my goal. Between 2018 and like 2021 they hired a lot more EDV people, and then now it's died down again. It really depends on how hard the training department at EDV is banging down delta's door. There has to be a healthy mix of "good opportunity to get called up to the big leagues" and "having good dispatchers at the regional"

We were told when 9E emerged from Pinnacolaba Air that we had no shot at Delta. So that was fun.

So much love for Endeavor from daddy Delta
It’s nothing new unfortunately. I used to hear the same thing about DL mainline not wanting to hire from its Express carriers back when I started dispatching in the mid 90s. Of course back then DL was pretty exclusively internal only for dispatch.
