To answer a few questions here. . .
1) I dont know why the plane lost power at this time . . . we had 3 hours of fuel and switched tanks during the flight . . . however after we landed the left tank was low!

I did switch tanks as soon as there was engine trouble, but we still could not keep power! Early signs are right now is that somehow fuel selector vaule was messed up and or there is a leak . . . not sure yet.
2) the field was very muddy! the plane sunk in about 6-8 inches of mud. I was very nervouse we were going to nose over as well. As soon as we got out we sank in mud! I could tell it was pretty sogy when we first touched down, so I just remember keeping the nose wheel off as long as I could.
3) When talking to the media, my entire goal was to keep it postive and to show that general aviation is not near as "scary" as it is protrade on TV. I wanted to stress that we practice this stuff so much that when it happens, our training just kicks in and we automaticly do what we are suppose to do.
4) I got to listen to the ATC tapes, and it amazes me how fast the whole thing happend. From 3000' to the ground took only about a min, and that was while I was still thinking I might be able to make the airport.
(I will try to get those recordings on this website . . . any ideas how to load audio files?)
Thank you all for the nice post!!!
