Effect of Phil Trenery Still Being Felt

The pay stubs always appear when payroll submits it to the bank, usually a day or two before we get paid. This time the paystubs didn't appear until this morning, I'm pretty sure that somebody screwed the pooch and didn't realize that Monday was a bank holiday and they didn't process payroll ontime. "But hey let's blame it on the bank so that we don't look completely incompetent!" - Even though we all know payroll can't do their job worth jack. I haven't talked to a single person that got paid today.

More and more lies and contract violations...and I'm guessing the union will just keep on taking it like a female dog too. The company and union must be in bed together because they're both equally incompetent.

Yea, I figured it was something like that.

Should be such an easy job.

1. Determine how long it takes to process payroll, include time to wrap up any loose ends that come up.
2. Determine what dates employees should receieve pay for duration of current contract.
3. Register with Google Calendar.
4. Set all pay dates in Google Calendar with reminder set for the timeframe determined in step 1.
5. Eat cheetos until reminder e-mail receieved from Google Calendar then proceed to step 6.
6. Process payroll.
7. Repeat step 5.

Sean, my consulting fees are $70,833.33/month for the next two years. I'll accept payment the first of each month starting February 1, 2012. Please set appropriate reminders in payroll's Google Calendar account.

Ya they forgot, I still do not have a stub posted. I did call though and found out how much it will be when I get paid next...Friday? Most likely...

So the union is the bad guy on this one? Really dude? I'm with Seggy, if you don't like it put on a volunteer hat or shut your yap.

Kid pays his dues. He has just as much right to run his "yap" as any rep does..

Dues paying automatically makes one "eligible" to be critical if they don't like the services being provided.

With that said, I don't believe the pay issue is a union function, but the "be a rep or shut up" garbage is a tiresome song.

I volunteer for ALPA every single pay period.

I can't tell what is more sad, the fact that this many pilots live check to check or Colgan is this incompetent.

Yes, dues does give you the right to be critical. But anyone who has been a rep will take issue with statements like the one made by Crazyjay. Union work is not easy, it takes a lot of your personal time and everytime things don't go exactly how pilots hope, you are "ineffective or in bed with management". Believe me, I hate seeing the amount deducted from my check every two weeks as much as anyone, but being from CJC, I have to remind myself 1. how much more money i made this year than last because of the work the union did and 2. how draconian the working environment was before we had a union in place.

PS. Union volunteers pay dues while volunteering.

I'm not defending Crazyjay. His comments I feel were off base.

I'm just very tired of hearing "contact a rep" and "be a rep or shutup!"

Trust me, I'm not anti-union. Flying 121 with no union is the pitts. Been there, done that. I've also told those who want ALPA gone, unless we replace them, it's not a good idea.

I've also thought about volunteering, but I don't care enough about the issues to expend that sort of effort to be a rep. I'd be doing a disservice to a rep position.

Not working but here is my thoughts on the check thing. Remember, your paycheck is not a
Privilege. It is an entitlement. You put you education, medical, certificate, well being , livelihood, and overall risk to move a recycled beer can fr point a to b. You put tons of money into this, the minute you showed up to work. Somebody is PAID to make sure you get paid on time. Is this generous of them? NO! It is the law. I've said it before and I will say it one last time. If you don't get paid when they say you will get paid, call your state dept of labor an file a complaint. You will not get in trouble; you will not get reprimanded. What they are doing is illegal. Screw the bs excuses. You put it out there on the line and it is time to get paid.

Commit a crime and see how quick you get hired. You won't. They do it semi monthly. Why does this happen? Pilot appothy. Nobody will stand up and refuse this bs. You have to get paid, on time. It's the damn law. This happens because WE allow it to happen.

Atn, in Virginia it is 3. Regardless, it is an angle. An angle with teeth and that will record occurrences. Letting the inbreds slide each time is unacceptable. We incur the most risk per dollar. This is unacceptable.
