Effect of Phil Trenery Still Being Felt

I don't know the financials on the building in Eagan, so I can't say if it would have been less expensive to move operations there or if it would have been better to just stay where we were. Not the safest place in town, but the rent is cheaper than downtown. You also have to factor in they'd already spent money moving a lot of Colgan operations to MEM. Would it have been cost effective to move all of that AGAIN to Eagan? Like I said, without knowing the financials for the building in Eagan, I can't honestly say. I do think moving on up to the high rise was a Big Mistake....
Yeah. It's just frustrating to watch them screw us up and have the balls to come ask for concessions. Hope it doesn't sound like I'm taking it out on you. I'd just love to give Trenary a whoopin.

It's cool, man. Nothing wrong with a healthy debate. And I'm right there with ya. What consulting has PT done to earn his millions in severance pay? Looks like all he did is take us to the brink on bankruptcy and pull the rip cord on the parachute. They think the APUs run too much now? Just wait until what happens if/when they toss pay cuts into the mix....

I'm embarrassed for Menke for pretending we are blind to this fact.

However, as one of our pilots said on here, he does sign his name "sean" at the end of the letters to us so that's something.

Ya that was me... Boy how optimisticly stupid I was... At this point it should read

F*** YOU,
Sean

Anyone else feel like this pay cut is coming whether we like it or not? Utilizing that emergency ratification that is ever so convient

What I find hilarious is some of the guys considering this. F9 went into bankruptcy too, that went well.

God, you weren't the only one. It's actually directed at one of my favorite management pandering (now reformed) Colgan posters.

I like how they essentially give two weeks for approval of cuts. that is nowhere near enough time to check the books and hold a vote. all part of the strategery.

I hope somebody is smart enough to see that a pissed off pilot group can cost the company way more than the 5% cuts they are wanting.

Atleast I can say the passengers on my flights will have the most comfortable cabin temperature at all times and I will have short landing contests with all my FO's so they can get their 5% worth too. Just sayin......

Man, I wish this was as simple as that. Funny how they dont realize that you shouldnt piss the pilots off.

"And my fries betta be crunchy and fresh, TRICK!"

"Oh yeah, they'll be crunchy and fresh sir. Yes they will.."

Latest update from the MEC: "The MEC unanimously passed a resolution that states: 'Any tentative agreement that includes concessions shall be subject to membership ratification.'"

A lot of the operational cost savings they're pushing us to do....we can't! Why? Lack of communication with other departments or vendors. Why bother with single engine taxi in with no APU when you're just going to have to start the APU anyway because DTW takes 10 minutes to plug in ground power? Surely we just burned more $$$ in gas than we would have saved starting the APU on the taxi in (plus more time on the engine which is their main argument for reducing APU usage: time on the APU). First step is to get the other stations on board with the plan, then implement it. Instead, we get memos saying "This is how it's done now" and they rely on the FOs doing the walkaround to explain what's up to the ground crew. I noticed we FINALLY got GPUs at most spots in JFK, but I've never seen them turned on. In fact, I had a deferred APU there last month, and they went through 5 GPUs before they found one that worked. The XJ -900 next to us also had a deferred GPU. They just wound up hot refueling because it was quicker. Or maybe that's just how it worked out....

GPU's in JFK?

Everyone step back, he's seeing stuff again. No more licking toads.

Yeah, I was surprised, too. Almost all the spots on the inside of the horseshoe have them. Like I said, I've never seen one turned on, though. My bet: it's so people don't have to clean and provision a dark airplane....

Awesome how we blew through 19 million last quarter...

Last time we were up at 100.2 in cash, annual average last year was over 100. Is this what the move and uniforms cost us?

Honestly if we end up taking a 5% concession, I'm maxing out the 401k match to earn it back.
