"Economy Minus"

Still my favorite commercial of all time:

If I was a business traveler, I want to check in electronically, get on the upgrade list, and head straight from the "SkyLounge" (or whatever the airline calls it) to the boarding area, scan my cellphone and get onboard.

You want upgrade list you say? Fly united!

And YOU get an upgrade and YOU get an upgrade! Everybody gets an upgrade!

Folks, I'm pretty sure that if an airline was really thinking of doing this they would be talking to other outlets, not this blog.
I hope it's my company to be honest. They need less pitch to compete with Spirit, Frontier, etc. pricing structure. Their growth is insane and it needs to be checked before it gets out of hand.

SWA is also adding seats and rows as well.

Personally, I think a mix of a high end product (first class) plus a ton of el cheapo seats is a good way to go.

Eh, they could be floating the idea low key in order to measure what the response would be. Real news outlets tend to want to indicate where their anonymous source came from in order to give their stories more credibility ("a source at USAirways who asked to remain anonymous due to company policy against speaking to the press....."). After gauging response and deciding to move forward, they could then go to the real news outlets. Just a possibility, though. It could also be complete bunk.

My favorite is on Faux when one of the talking heads says "critics are saying...."

Huggy Bear says, "Yo, Starsky... Word on da street…"

Huggy Bear, you ARE the word on the street, fool! If you're going to be a snitch at least man up about it!
