Eaglevoy new TA

Keep in mind the people that sold you the "gamble" are about to sell you the crap sandwich. I certainly hope people don't forget that important tidbit.

The only reason you're about to vote on an awful TA is because this group decided to go against all the counsel of supporting a deal they created and then bad-mouthed.

Vote however you feel necessary, but don't praise the group that brought this deal to your ballot box. In fact, we should ensure they don't represent us after this is over.

Seems to be a common trend here at envoy. Appoint pilots to MEC, new MEC is gung-ho and talks a big game, allow them to be on the negotiating committee, watch them get clobbered by professional negotiators, throw them under the bus as worse than the last guys. Repeat.

This has nothing to do with negotiation (in)experience or lack of professional negotiators. These people have been involved for quite a while as the "vocal minority" and have been the opposition to anything that was done under the previous leadership. These guys threw a hissy fit when the deal in March was put out and said there was no way the company could staff it, we deserved better, and anyone that voted for it was weak and ruining the industry. Fast forward to today and you have a completely different (worse) deal in front of you and the same group saying "this is the best we could do" while simultaneously refusing to admit their mistakes or explain their new rationale.

I completely agree with you, I'm just pointing out how similar it all is to the previous negotiations and how livid people were.

I think the frustration is the fact that their parent company has is getting nice profits on the back of their poor pay, then mgmt wants more cuts to increase their margins.
Business, really, they have profit but want more. However, they are taking this from the poorly compensated and those with a poorer qol. Take from the bottom, give to the top.

The frustration with alpa is that regionals are just getting nut punched left and right with nothing more than a YouTube video about poor pay. Meanwhile national is concerned with NAI while the regional mecs are whipsawing each other and further lowering the bar.

ALPA national knows that airlines love to recycle pilots, they probably care by not enough to make a large stance, really. Could they really do anything about it? I don't know, many would argue no. But at what point is the bar going to be on the ground? I hope, if I ever make it to the heavies, that I never lose sight of where I came from and those on poverty waged HOPING to one day make it too.

And to the pilots who justify or ignore the abhorrent treatment of your peers, shame on you.

No, they were promised jets. They are getting 145s and my guess is they get to keep their out station basing.
So envoy will be the big e-jet airline, psa will be the crj airline and pdt will be the little e-jet airline?

This whole thing with the eagle contracts and the jcba issues with mainline shows me that Parker is no Anderson. He's still running this place like America West with the AA name.

Yup, I just flew with a CA that would be 4th generation AA that doesn't want to work for AA. As he put it AA is dead, it is America West is AA paint.

$209 would be:
Management proposed
6 year baby bus CA pay 1/1/2015
Same pay at Delta is showing $194

Three issues:

1. Why six? There are no double-breasted six-year bus captains.
2. Southernjets contract expires in 2015.
3. U-Boat Commanders earn about 20% profit-sharing.

Because Dougie!!

APA has been quiet the last week, who knows. Both sides say profit sharing is off the table now, and management keeps saying this isn't section 6, cya in cost neutral arbitration.

Not sure why we agreed to the loss of profit sharing. It's like the guy that sold his 10% of Apple for $800 bucks. Not a good call.
As far as young upgrades... You should throw in an app derg.... You'd probably be a 330/777CA here before guard police central.
;)

There was an e-mail about the pay rates if we took them. They would be the highest in the industry EXCEPT for group 1 which is still inadequate. 3rd year e190 Captain at JetBlue is 150, at Us Airways it would be 133 with the JCBA pay raise. If they don't want to pay industry average on it then they should just get rid of them.

Im probably in the minority, but im OK with that Payrate for the E190. THe ugly truth is, the more expensive it gets, the less likely they are to add to the fleet type. And instead of getting more E190s (or getting rid of them) youll see republic and Envoy flying E175s (with capts making about $80/hr).
