Eagle pilots reject 'or else' offer

Thanks man.

Based on what I'm seeing so far, if this is a landslide it'll be for the 'No' vote. There exists the possibility that the fearful will say one thing but vote another, but based on the volume of people touting No votes I think we're going to hold the line.
I had posted something else, but I just want to wish you guys and gals the best of luck!!

You're gonna learn pretty quickly that a lot of guys will tout NO votes in a crew room or on a forum, but when it comes down to business on their computer at home to put their vote in, it'll be a yes.

I wish you were right about the landslide No, but every time the comm guy sends out a email with the word "Comair" in it, it buys the company more yes votes. The union has put so much fear in the pilot group by now I would guess there is 25%-30% who would vote yes to anything put in front of them so, now us NO voters now need 71% of the other voters to vote this down. I just don't see it happening. Sorry

Don't count us out yet. This kind of voter apathy is what caused the first union drive at Colgan to fail- by four votes.

Be nice to see some words of support from ALPO national. But you won't...

It takes a great deal of class to refer to ALPA as dog food. After all, they've never done anything for you or our industry, right?!?

Enjoy your job at Blue or SW…or wherever you land next week or the week after that. But remember, many, many of the benefits of our profession have been fought for by ALPA brothers and sisters over many years.

Stay classy, Zap!

That's ok man... He's just a sore Blueser.

(you see what I did there?)

Don't you have a Failboat to captain somewhere?

Just because you don't understand doesn't mean I mislead you. Learn to read.

You criticize the Eagle pilot group, after the way Pinnacle just rolled over?

This is one of the more rude & disrespectful posts I've seen. I'd rank up there with a velo post.

I think everyone on here has been placed the same situations as the Eagle pilots. While it is inestimabley stressful when you're in the barrel, lashing out at any and every viewpoint not in lockstep with your own solely serves to alienate those that might or could help.

Until you realize a large percentage of this out your control, you can campaign and advocate to a certain effect.

The 1500 hour rule & 117 are both in effect and the industry is still putting concessionary contracts on the table or stalling negotiations on contracts 5 years amendable. Instead of being rude and condescending, perhaps figuring out why this is occurring would be a better use of your time.

Pinnacle rolled over? I notice in another post you tout that your union didn't "take the first deal" like the others.

Show me where Pinnacle took the first deal?

I'm not criticizing the Eagle group either. I'm just pointing out that from an outsiders perspective, you (not the collective you, Eagle pilots, only Firebird you) wrote that the pilots rejected the deal. I get it, you wrote it in the "My MEC speaks for me" vein.

We can only hope that the deal gets voted down. But seeing as the company isn't in bankruptcy, why did it even get sent to the pilots?

Like I said, strategy. To simply keep swatting down bad deals at the MEC might appear to make them appear obstinate.

One of the metrics of the battlefield is Time. In the time it takes to draft language, the vote.. Things change.

I know the MEC chair, and I've flown with him.
Trust the process.
