Eagle Interview

btw if you have received the "we will review your application" email from eagle, and they have reviewed it, do not change it now!

Agreed! There is plenty of other paperwork that they will use in the interview process to supersede the airline apps info.

Got home from the interview, will write up a gouge tomorrow. Great experience!

Hey Michael, it was nice meeting you. Although I was feeling like a zombi during the interview, I definitely had a great time. It was a nice group of people and I sure enjoyed getting to know everyone there. Good stuff.

I got the pre-offer. I didn't get my driving record in the mail in time, so I had to mail that to them. Hopefully we hear soon from the review board and get our medical dates! I've been lazy, but I promise I will write a detailed review of my experience including the questions I was presented.

I am super excited!! Reality still hasn't set in yet.

I interviewed 2 weeks ago and received the pre-offer. I studied the gouges and found them to be a great interview prep. I felt I was overprepared for the interview; it went very smoothly. This is what I remember best from the interview:

SIM:
Takeoff and Climb out
Right Turn to intercept a Radial TO the VOR
Hold over VOR
Vectors to ILS with FD

TECH:
Takeoff Distance Available
Takeoff Distance Available with Displaced Threshold
Grid MORA (difference between green and magenta)
MEA
Upper Limit of Class B Airspace
Where do Flight Levels Begin
Calculate Desent Plan (29000 to 11000 at 400KTS)
Is DME required for the approach
Brief and ILS approach
What is RVSM
Where does RVSM begin
Max T/O for your current aircraft
Fuel Quantity for your current aircraft
Read METAR and TAF
T/O Alternates
Landing Alternates
RVR, Can you shoot the approach with the given RVR

HR:
Why do you want to work for Eagle
What is your greatest weakness
What is your greatest strength
When can you start
Is everything on your application accurate

Thats pretty much it in a nutshell. Very friendly interview staff, I enjoyed my time in Dallas. Now waiting to hear fromt the review board.

EMB,

Hope your enjoying DFW, im up in HOU in the sim now!! Keep studying and never stop. For the oral I felt and did well, but I studied for a few hours with everyone each night since I got back from CBT, I think it made ALL the difference.

My experience followed this almost exactly. Study the gouges and put time and care into it and it's a great experience. Something I did not read on any of the gouges but happened with basically all of our group was during the hold, we were given an Alternator failure. You, of course, are tasked with making the right decisions and working with your "pilot not flying."

It really takes that long to hear from the review board? They told us we should be hearing in about a week..

They told us as early as 1 week but could go longer if our previous employers were slow with paperwork. I had to call one of mine because they had not sent it in yet...

Conrats to all of you who got pre-offers, and who are starting class. I hope to be joining you guys soon. Got on interview this Tuesday the 29th. Hope it goes well!! I am pretty excited!!

I have a concern regarding my logbook for my interview. I have two checkrides that are not signed off by the examiner. One being my CFI initial and the other being my CFII checkride. Is this an issue? Also, is anyone else interviewing on Thursday, the 31st?

Its not an issue. The examiner is not required to sign your logbook.

My logbook was missing two examiner signatures as well when I interviewed at Eagle and I was offered the job. (I went to "PinaColSaba" in the end tho)

why Pinacl over Mesaba and American?

I've got my interview coming up in a few days. It will be nice to be back on their property after three years. We'll see how it goes.

Don't mean to derail over here, just a quick question. Is 3 still the magic number? will one still get hired with up to 2 busts?
