Slam clicking seems to be an all bases all seats thing.what is interesting is all the barriers to prevent a car from driving into the terminal failed easily. seemed to be there for show only. TMK those things are there to prevent exactly what happened.
In other news I have the same issue with newer FO's. No personality, don't want to talk, don't know any of the classic movies and slam click. They carry a giant ass softside yetti cooler...
Took a relatively new guy out to eat recently on two of our overnights. Bought dinner both times. He couldn’t believe I was willing to do that, and how he schlepped meals to save money. Had to explain that we get paid almost $80/day to eat and that he doesn’t have to live off Cliff bars and airplane snacks anymore. I know an FO with dietary restrictions and I totally get carrying food for health reasons. But yeesh, eat something please. I don’t want FOs passing out from starvation, too much paperwork!

I know you all think I hate all liberals but the fact that I consider Rob Reiner in very high regard is proof enough in my head that I'm not a bigot. We lost a great film maker. You just can't deny the talent. When Reiner was killed I watched a couple documentaries about the making of The Princess Bride and it only reaffirmed my admiration for him. This is the apparent difference between the current political division in this country, one side wants anyone who disagrees with them to be canceled and unemployable, the other side appreciates the talent and just moves on with their life. I also think James Woods is a great actor but everyone here hates him, not because of his work but because of the things he says. This attempt to "clean" up the zeitgeist to suit the narrative is backfiring. Creativity has been effectively stifled and all you'll get is bland nonsense.Princess Bride is one of those movies that no matter how many times you’ve seen it, no matter what else you have to do, if you come across it, you stop and watch it to the end.
I just want someone else to go look at dinosaur fossils on a layoverI’m about 50-50.
I’m an ambivert so after a long flight I honestly just want to wander around and be alone for a while, unless you’re super interesting and you’re also a wanderer. But the last thing I want to do is sit at an expat bar and talk about work or go have some safe, gentrified experience in a foreign country.
If I hear one more time, “Where’s a good place for gyoza?” in Tokyo, it’ll be too soon.
