Does your dog sleep on the bed with you?

I have been thinking about getting two boxer pups how do they do as pets?

We love ours. They're really high energy, and not necessarily the most easily trainable...but they're phenomenal companions. If you socialize them properly, they're great pets.

Only significant difference I've noticed between Hobbes, my current one, and her is she seemed much more allergy prone. I think you can avoid alot of stuff like that when you get a mutt.

This. Ours has significant allergies.

One of the downsides of dog ownership -

We have a king sized bed. I sleep on one side (the outside) and my wife next to me. We pretty much cuddle all night.

What the hell is wrong with you, man? :)

In all seriousness, we have yorkie, 11-12 lbs. Not your typical little bony yapper. Muscular with a deep bark. The world is a party and she's the guest of honor. My wife absolutely will not let her sleep on her side of the bed. She will kick, swat, whatever to get her off her side. We have a king size and my wife is a small woman. I am a little over 6'2" and cannot make myself kick her off. It's usually a dance all night between the dog and I. If she could crawl in my skin, she would. Must always be touching me, under the covers, all night. The best alarm clock is cold wet nose digging into your side or under your neck for warmth. I'll move her away, readjust in the 5 seconds she gives me and brace for her to cram every square inch of her body on/inbetween/under me. She usually sleeps under the bed til my wife is asleep or she is cold then tries to to test out my side of the bed the rest of the night. When she looks at me with those little eyes and ears, I can't help it....

Let's face it....we are owned by our pets. lol My wife's former cat who she had before we met, never warmed up to me. She was Sue's cat and I was always the intruder. She slept at the top of Sue's pillows and glared at me all night. I would wake up and I could feel her staring at me. I'd look over and sure enough she was. Plus she would sneak down in the middle of the night several times a night and try to wedge herself between us all the time. I move a leg or something and there she would be. She got really pissy too if I tried to scoot her put of the way. If I got up to use the head, I'd come back and she would be sleeping in my spot every single time and growled at me when I moved her. So it's a huge improvement for me to have a cat that is happy to be with Teddy the wiener dog in their own little bed on the other side of us.

The down side is the crazies they get at bedtime. Before they settle down they tear around on an off the bed and run around like their butts are on fire or something. They chase each other, play and the worst is they leap up onto the bed when I least expect them to and inevitably land on my boys. I just know they do this crap on purpose to see me flinch and yowl. It's like a big game with the two of them. Sue of course, thinks it's hysterical. She probably puts them up to it. lol

My cat Harry usually sleeps on the pillow next to mine, the dog Bob normally sleeps by my feet.

I like having people names for my pets because when I say I share a bed with Harry and Bob people assume the worst. It's good for trolling.

I have a hound dog and he is always sleeping on the bed... (it's memory foam mattress) He likes it because it's food for his back...

Mine does. Last time I was home she got drunk again and didn't quite make it all the way to bed...

Oh yeah. Little room for me with two Pits and two Rottes but more than OK. Saves on heating oil in the Winter and (sadly/sickly) far better company than the gal who left.

Ours do not. I ended the pets sleeping in my bed the day I woke up to a dog attempting to pee on my head (luckily he had one of those wraps on, so it soaked into that).
