Does the internet hate your airplane?

Not a lot of love for Russian built airliners over there. Personally I dont have one type of airliner that I hate flying on. They all serve the same purpose unless your heading overseas.

"DC-9, which was a great plane… for 1965" and then... "You're much better off in a 737"

Hmmmmmm, oh ya the 737 is an airplane of the 60's to.

As a passenger, riding in the back of certain turboprops can be a punishing experience in terms of noise. Also, certain turboprops and RJs have lavs that I (at 6'1") consider unusable.

I totally disagree with the MD-80 mention.... unless of course I'm riding in the last 5 rows. Riding near the front is whisper quiet.

Does the flying public(at least some)not remember flying on this crap???

Some still fly 1900Ds and Cessna 402s. THAT and these, are rides to bitch about. The MD-8x??? Really? That's the quietest plane there is! At least if you're not sitting in the back. ;)

Noisy? Eh, whatever. I want a comfortable seat and room. I'll ride in the back of almost any prop over a CRJ any day. Flat out roomier and more comfortable. I HATE riding in the back of a CRJ and we have way too many pairings with DHs at Pinnahole. Ug.

It's been years (thankfully) since I've ridden in the -200, but these days I commute on a 700 frequently and it's actually quite pleasant.

I don't really card for the ERJ because of all the wind noise, other than that I don't really care. Mesa 900s are actually decently comfortable now.

Did they finally get rid of the "tshirt over a piece of plywood" cushiom seats they used to have? Or was that just the freedom 900s they were using for Airways back when.

Yeah, the ones that looked like a cheap sofa from the 80s with the America West logo on them. Only took them 6 years after the merger before they even started replacing them. Even longer to replace the bulkheads with the gigantic America West logos on them. I was so shocked they actually replaced them I had to take a picture...
