“That’s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.” Neil Armstrong captivated the world in 1969 when he became the first person to walk on the Moon.
Today in 1969: Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first humans to set foot on the moon during Apollo 11, the first lunar landing mission. Michael Collins was the Command Module "Columbia" Pilot and was alone for just under a day while Armstrong and Aldrin landed on the moon.
Happy 46th Anniversary Apollo.
