Just for clarification...

Does the first aircraft (the Chipmunk) relate to the second aircraft only, or is it specific to the particular view you chose?

(just wondering why you chose a rear end shot of such a beautiful airplane)
 
Ah no, the angle isn't particularly relevant to the correlation. I've just never seen too many images of that aircraft from that angle and I liked it. Besides, it's such an obvious aircraft you should be able to get it from any angle... ;)

Yeah, I would recongnize that rear end anywhere...

Up until I got corrective lenses, I wanted to fly that airplane.
 
Art Scholl?

He flew a "Super" Chipmunk (Ranger powered) in his airshow routines. He was killed in a flat spin while getting footage for the scene when Goose dies in Top Gun...hence the Chipmunk and the F-14.
