On sub 300 mile segments that makes the turboprop faster. Some of us don't have a choice.
We're slow enroute so we make it up in the pattern.

I’d have to look in one of my manuals, but I think there is provision for heading and airspeed (not just track and groundspeed) to be transmitted over ADSB though I don’t think any of the systems I messed with were set up to do it.
Fancy part 25 shiz. I’ve only messed with part 23 stuff, mostly 978 not so much 1090.Our display shows ADSB info along with TCAS targets. An ADSB target has the ID tag as well as the altitude (which, like TCAS, defaults to reference our altitude). If we select the target we get ground speed shown as well. We can also access the target through the FMS and get heading, bearing to, wake category, and IAS information.
Southwest must have a partially restricted Pitot source... Happens to us all the time. Headed to TEB Sat. Guessing we’ll probably take a beetle up the Pitot on the way in again...I figure that out by everyone is showing 270, except Southwest who is showing 290
The True Zen of Commercial Aviation comes only after ascendance to the 7th Order of Operational Delight, when, if accepted by the Grand Left Seat Lama, one can fully transcend to Nirvana. We just go fast everywhere.
